How to create a WordPress staging site
WordPress staging creates an identical clone of your current WordPress install. Once built, you can then make changes to the staging site content without impacting the live site.
When you’ve completed all your changes, with a few clicks, you can overwrite the live WordPress site with a copy of the website on the staging platform. The process is completed in minutes, and you still have the staging site ready for the next round of changes.
Database URL Replace
The staging environment will automatically search and replace the URL in your database to use your staging URL. If the staging subdomain does not point to our platform, we'll detect this and use the temporary URL instead.
Full FTP and MySQL Access
You can access the staging environment via FTP using your normal credentials: look for the ‘staging_html’ directory rather than ‘public_html’. A new database prefixed SCSTAGING will also be created.
